Paint colors and we're overwhelmed

Wow, it's been a whirlwind the last few weeks and we have been BUSY getting acquainted with the house and the neighborhood while throwing in a trip to Cape Cod and going to a friend's wedding in Connecticut. Our neighbors have already been so welcoming and we are excited to get to know everyone. Our sweet neighbors on one side brought over a bottle of wine for us on Sunday night and we had a nice chat with them. As I sit in our dining room (which desperately needs a carpet removal), I am also looking at paint colors from Benjamin Moore. We want to make a lot of changes - mostly cosmetic - to the house but feel that paint colors are really the first step before we can buy furniture, pick out rugs, and decide on a window treatment. Sharing our initial ideas for paint colors for the first three rooms we plan to tackle, which is 100% subject to change:

Living Room / Entry Way

Our living room features a large half white half gray fireplace that is really the centerpiece of the room, it also expands into an open area where I am interested in situating a round game table and big piece of art (where the lamp with the crooked lampshade is right now). Floor to ceiling windows open up into the tree-scaped backyard and this light has an impact on the overall color of the room. We eventually want to paint the fireplace a dark gray to achieve a dramatic contrast between a dark fireplace and light walls.

For this room, I'm considering Benjamin Moore Gray Mist 962, with a neutral color palette. We would eventually replace the furniture and rugs. The other colors we are entertaining include:

Benjamin Moore Fog Mist OC-31

Benjamin Moore White Dove OC-17

Dining Room / Kitchen

The dining room and kitchen have these gorgeous beamed ceilings as well but the cabinets and granite in the kitchen are way too dark for our taste. We do not plan to make any major changes to the kitchen for several years but in the meantime, need to decide on a paint color for these rooms - the kitchen opens into the dining room, that will go well with brown laminate cabinets and white countertops (my dream kitchen!). I am thinking something with slightly green undertones as I would like to do a green Heath tile backsplash in the kitchen... or again, just off-white to be safe.

Powder Room

Lastly, the powder room is just off the entry way. Currently the room has a marble floor, which I like but we want to replace the vanity, mirror, and lighting, and may even incorporate a fun wallpaper. Some inspiration here:

Pinning this mirror and light fixtures for later....
