minimalist kitchen items

I'm rounding up my favorite minimalist kitchen items. In my opinion, the perfect kitchen is both streamlined and utilitarian, providing a calming environment free of clutter but also ensuring the necessary kitchen items are easily accessible. As an avid cook, I firmly believe that a kitchen counter needs the "go-to" items on display. I use olive oil, salt, pepper, and apple cider vinegar every day so those must be visible. These items, however, can look polished and truly add something to the kitchen's overall style. The same goes for open shelving, which can display your most beautiful ceramics and dishware. A kitchen without these items seems superficial and unrealistic.

This kitchen is lovely but it's just not realistic for my every day. While I assume the cabinetry houses the condiments and appliances, I don't think I could survive without my oil and vinegar staples and my coffee maker.

This kitchen is somewhat more realistic for the everyday and incorporates a playful color scheme.

This kitchen is beautiful to me - streamlined with pendant lights with space for ceramic dishware, condiment containers, and cookbooks.

These are my personal counter items that still achieve that streamlined look. Some of these I chose for the style (olive oil container), others were strictly for function (unicorn pepper grinder).

Welcome to my midcentury musings...

I'm Madeline, a Northern Virginia resident settling into a midcentury hideaway in the suburbs. I love low-fi music, Negronis, and firing up the record player on Friday nights.
