miniature mid-century

Nerd-alert post! This morning I went to cancel my House Beautiful online subscription because I'm not really using it and haven't seen much mid-century content. Featured on the front page was "Dollhouse Beautiful" with designer, Amy Sklar and her mid-century creation. I was a serious dollhouse aficionado as a kid so naturally, I had to watch the ten minute episode. It's absolutely adorable!

I mean I might choose some of this design myself. Marble countertops? French stove? Copper pots? The detailing is amazing, Starbucks cup!

I love her use of the pendant lights, which actually work. The designer wired up the lights so they switch on and off.

The bedroom fits today's idea of MCM cozy.

Subway tile. Soaking tub. Pendant light.

This has to be my favorite room. Amy created a media console for vinyls and then created each miniature vinyl, one even has a sleeve with a record inside.

A terrace for lounging.
