midcentury dmv site tour
Good news and bad news on this Friday morning! Good news: I've been working diligently to get the site updated to provide what I think is missing from much of the MCM content on the internet. This includes: a curation of mid century modern content focused on architecture, design, and decor, current state market analysis and research (my Harvard paper to be shared soon!), a deep dive on DC-Maryland-Virginia mid century homes, a go-to resource page for all things MCM (coming soon...), and my personal homeownership journey to provide lessons learned for those searching for a home under $1 million. I've also added a Categories section so that users of the site can search for specific content.
Neighborhoods: I've done the research so you don't have to (is that from an ad?). This page features the primary MCM neighborhoods in the DMV with average selling price, sq. foot, property tax, and year for homes sold in the last year with approximately 3 beds, 2 baths, and minimal to no remodeling needs.
Inspiration: Choice photos from my favorite architects and designers for ongoing inspiration. As you all know... my Cook Architecture obsession is real but I'm branching out and incorporating other work as well.
Wishlist: Maybe the most fun thing to put together for the site... an ongoing wishlist of the best MCM furniture, art, dinnerware, and decor (IMO!)
MCM Resources: Coming Soon!
Check out the site, leave a comment if you do, would love to hear from the mid century curious out there. Oh bad news.... we still haven't found a home! The search continues this weekend with two promising mid centuries in Alexandria, Virginia.
