guest bathroom update

We are finally updating our guest bathroom! This is our largest bathroom on the upper level with a bath/shower combo. This bathroom is used mostly by our guests and I want them to feel totally at home in a cozy, fresh environment. When my parents were here in October, we made a few adjustments - painting the room a muted sage color and adding gold sconces on either side of the mirror with plans to do a full vanity replacement in the spring.

My mom and I have been working on the overall design and have just a few more decisions to make. We are ordering the Room and Board Linear vanity in white oak with a marbled quartz countertop and backsplash. This will be the most dramatic addition to the room as the current vanity is black with dated hardware, a black vessel sink, and a brushed nickel faucet that lacks functionality. To create the mood board, I added the Muted Sage color (Behr), the plant currently next to the sink, our beloved Palm Springs photo which originally set the color scheme, and my favorite Sydney Hale Woods candle, which are already part of the bathroom design.

I'm currently mulling over a few other additions that I think will really bring the room together once we have the vanity installed.

I'd love to do a full renovation and replace the floor tile and shower/bath combo with a freestanding tub and shower option. This is certainly something we can do as a phase II but for now I'm focused on adding in the vanity and making the bathroom even better for our guests.
