finding inspiration

It's been a couple weeks since my last post as my parents were visiting and we made some long awaited updates - new pillows, lighting, rugs, and art, those little things that really make a home. My dad is highly skilled at all things home renovation and spent many hours installing pendant lights over our dining room table and sconces next to the bed (photos soon). We even planted some trees and began planning for our spring 2022 vegetable garden. I would like to add more color to the backyard with native Virginia wildflowers. I will share a post on the first phase of my garden soon! Until then... some photos, featured homes, and blog posts where I'm finding my latest MCM inspiration.

Welcome to my midcentury musings...

I'm Madeline, a Northern Virginia resident settling into a midcentury hideaway in the suburbs. I love low-fi music, Negronis, and firing up the record player on Friday nights.
